Whiskey Poet Society

We're proud to feature this great band that will be performing at our Friday night Block Party.

The Whiskey Poet Society has a traditional country sound with a little red dirt thrown in and brings their own unique style of original music. They have opened for acts such as Jason Boland and their song "Grand Lake" even aired during the opening day take off at Bassmasters.

An awesome band for your Friday night entertainment.

There will be something for everyone’s delight Friday night and Saturday at Food Truck Row. Several food trucks will be set up to serve you both savory and sweet treats to delight your taste buds…BBQ, Cajun favorites, cheesesteaks, pretzels, funnel cakes, kettle corn, Italian Ice, fresh fruit lemonade, and more. Come hungry!

Vinita Lake Fishing Derby

Kids Fishing Derby – Vinita Lake Park – Saturday, June 8th – 8 am-12 pm

Kids Fishing Derby – Vinita Lake Park

Join the FFA Fishing Team and local fishing experts for a fun morning of fishing at Vinita’s newest park with a free hot dog cookout afterwards. Oklahoma fishing licenses are not required for OK residents under 16 years of age or non-residents under 14 years. Please check with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation for other licensing information.

Kids Zone

There will be lots fun for families near the food trucks and the Incredible Inflatable Park with a variety of free family games, a balloon artist and other vendor attractions for kids like the bucking bull, train rides, and the popular bungee jump.

Eastern Trails Museum Open House

The staff and volunteers of the Eastern Trails Museum will be hosting an Open House during the festival. Enjoy exploring some of the history of Northeastern Oklahoma: Indian Territory and the Cherokee influence, military history and the Civil War Battle of Cabin Creek, ranching, mercantile, homecraft, rural schools and more.

Aesop and the Fables

Aesop and the Fables

Back by popular demand, the Eastern Trails Museum presents, “Aesop and the Fables”, a local tribute band of the 1960s. This live music event will be held in the courtyard of the Maurice Haynes Municipal Building which houses the Vinita Public Library and Eastern Trails Museum. Grab lunch from a food truck and head over to the shaded courtyard for this musical treat.

STEAM Alley

Saturday, June 15th – 8 am-2 pm

STEAM ALLEY

Make it Move! Kids of all ages are invited to check out the free science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities related to cars, wheels, gears, and motion. Stations will be set up in the new Vinita Breezeway and staffed by local Boy Scout Troop 1875. Participants will race cars to measure distance and speed, build a balloon-powered car, rainbow race paint, design with Hot Wheels track sets, and more.
